The Annual Parents Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony of the Munir Arshad Memorial School and College was held on Friday, 19 April 2019. As in the past, the event was keenly awaited by parents and students alike. It is a day when the high achievers get recognized for their hard work and accomplishments, and the gifted students get an opportunity to showcase their talents.

Mr. Saleem Malik, a distinguished intellectual and educator of Multan, was the Chief Guest. The program began with the recitation and translation of verses from the Holy Quran by students of class VII. This was followed by a Naat-e-Rasool, beautifully presented by a student of class X.

The Principal, Mrs. Shamim Saeed then presented the progress made by the institution, and achievements of the students during the past year. This was followed by the prize distribution ceremony. Ten students who had received A+ or A grades in the final matriculation (class X) exams were awarded certificates and cash prizes. The ‘Best Teacher Award’ was presented to Mr. Mohammad Yousaf. A Talent Show followed, with plays, skits, dances, and a fashion show presented by students of various classes.

The Chairman, Munir Arshad Memorial Trust, Maj. Gen. Waheed Arshad then addressed the audience. As always, his speech was thought provoking and passionate. He appreciated the teachers and students for their dedication and hard work, and encouraged them to give their best to the institution and the country. He reminded them of their obligation to contribute to the society as good human beings and dedicated professionals.

The Chief Guest in his address highly appreciated the institution for its endeavors to provide affordable, high quality education to the rural poor of South Punjab. He was highly complementary of the efforts and achievements of the students and teachers in the academic results achieved, as well as the many talents showcased in the event.

The event ended with a Lucky Draw, but left happy memories with all present of an entertaining and rewarding evening.

High Achievers

  1. Master’s in Commerce: Ms. Shumaila Naz d/o Abdul Rehman Rahi, scored 984/1400 marks.
  2. Bachelor’s in Commerce: M. Khalil s/o M. Bukhsh, scored 935/1500 marks.
  3. Bachelor’s in Commerce: M. Shahzad Anjum s/o Ahmad Bakhsh, scored 840/1500 marks.
  4. Matriculation Exams: Abdullah Khan s/o Ajab Khan scored third position (in Commerce) in Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Multan.
